Continuing Education Options at Wyatt Consulting & Training, Inc.

Today Wyatt Training delivers a wide variety of insurance continuing education programs through a variety of methods. In addition the company will be offering a number of products to help the agent become more effective in day-to-day business. Whether it is an individual seminar or a program or product tailored to your specific requirements, George W. Wyatt Consulting and Training Inc. is available to serve your needs.
Insurance department-approved continuing education seminars are Wyatt Training's core product. These live programs are advertised by the company and regularly presented by staff instructors in Kansas, western Missouri and South Dakota. Seminars are also presented in other states on a contract basis for companies and community colleges. Company contract programs become more effective when built around a company's specific documents and policies. Services available to company clients include: course design, insurance department filing and record keeping.
Fiber optic networks are the distance-learning classrooms of the
new millennium. Wyatt Training, in cooperation with community colleges
in Iowa, has presented programs by this method to remote
sites on an interactive basis.
This year, Wyatt Training expanded even further with the introduction
of approved insurance continuing education courses available
through the internet.
At least 30 community colleges in Kansas, Iowa and South Dakota
work with the company to provide CE credit for completing at
least one of the eight different unit studies available from
Wyatt Training. Current units include six Property & Casualty
courses and one Ethics course. Life courses will be introduced
later in the year. The courses can be completed from home or
office via the internet, making them accessible to agents 24
hours a day, seven days a week. The convenience of internet
courses often eliminates the need for personal and staff
travel and makes earning CE credits even more cost-effective.
These programs can also be customized using company-specific
forms. Wyatt Training plans to add at least two more courses
to its internet repertoire by the end of the year 2000. Additional
courses are also under consideration.
In addition to continuing education courses, the company is developing other products to help agents become more effective and better serve their clients. These products include a book of policy checklists, a line of planners the agent can tailor to his specific needs, and a Property & Casualty text ideal for those just entering the business or changing jobs.
